Family Rock Climbing

Spend time with the kids this summer and try something different. Family climbing programs are designed to allow families to go at their own pace with the help and guidance of a certified climbing instructor. Our instructors will introduce basic climbing technique, fundamentals of belaying, and of course tons of climbing. Family climbing programs can be as formal or informal as you like and are custom tailored to meet to needs of your family. Add a day of climbing to your next family vacation with the EMS Climbing School in the White Mountains, Adirondacks and Gunks!

SUP Fitness Classes – Newport, Lincoln Woods, Hopkinton

Take your fitness outside the gym by combining paddling, plyometrics, strength training and more, all on a stand up paddle board! This full body low impact workout challenges your every muscle all while honing your balance. Class begins with 30 minutes of paddle insturction, showing you how to engage your core using the proper paddle techniques and how to maneuver on your board. The next hour we will combine paddle sprints, balance challenges and strength exercises using your body weight, bands and more. No experience necessary and all exercises can be modified for any fitness level. Join us this summer at our three locations; Newport RI, Hopkinton MA and Lincoln Woods RI.

Private Guided Rock Climbs – Available 7 Days a Week

Looking to master a specific skill or accomplish a particular goal or maybe you just want the instructor to yourself, or on a day of your own choosing. Regardless of the reason or the size of your group, just give us a call at 800-310-4504 to set up a private lesson tailored to your needs and schedule. This is a very common choice for many of our climbers and a great value for your time and money spent. Private guided climbs can be scheduled 7 days a week from our North Conway NH, Gunks NY, and Lake Placid NY locations. click for rates.

Our dedication to outdoor life starts on the ground. From the beginning, Eastern Mountain Sports has been a vital resource for climbers, mountaineers, adventurers and all those who love the outdoors. Make no mistake, we’ve been doing it longer and we are the best at what we do.
The Eastern Mountain Sports Climbing School was started in Boston in 1968, and currently has 4 major locations and 7 satellite locations throughout the East, making it the oldest and largest climbing school in the eastern U.S. Along with the Climbing School, Eastern Mountain Sports operates a Kayak School and Ski School. Special programs have also been added to accommodate handicapped and disabled participants. Since the inception of the first School, the mission has been to provide the best outdoor experience possible.
