Pin Something, Win Something.

When a vendor, product manager or co-worker has a product sample or extra piece of swag from an event, they bring it to my office with instructions to “give it away on social media.”

Some of it’s undeniably awesome, but available in one size only, like this Large Men’s Marmot Zion jacket:

Some of it’s totally cool, but kind of random, like this Loop Tote bag from The North Face:

Throughout 2012, I amassed a pretty big pile of cool stuff. Now that the new year is here, I’d like ALL of this stuff to go while helping Eastern Mountain Sports get cracking on Pinterest.

In the spirit of the dentist office treasure chest, I give you:

PLEASE NOTE, this is not a Pin It to Win It (heck, it’s not even a company-lawyer approved giveaway), if you’re one of the 50, that’s right 50 lucky winners, what you get is what you get. It could be a $495 mens’s Adidas jacket size medium in bright red or a $9.00 CAMELBAK bottle leftover from our 2012 Employee Century Bike Ride. It’s like a Yankee Swap that you don’t have to bring a present to. All you have to do is pin something from ems.com to one of your personal Pinterest boards with the hashtag #WinSomethingFromEMS.

Other prizes include EMS ENDO softshell jackets, an EMS Creek Freak daypack and merino socks from SmartWool and Icebreaker. Help me clean my office while helping yourself to a (potentially) awesome prize. Winners will be chosen at random from January 7 through January 31. Winners will be notified via a comment on their pin and I’ll also create a Pinterest Board with all the winning pins. The more stuff you pin from ems.com, the more chances you have to win something. Once again, EMS legal, marketing, merchandising and executive management were not consulted on this promotion – I’m going rogue in an effort to clean out my office and get 50 lucky Pinners’ new year off to a happy start.
