Travels with Jacey… New Year’s Resolutions

Outdoor Adventure (Unique lifestyle/travel/personal experience)

I know, I’m 7 days late. But, better late than never! Here are my 2013 resolutions:

Get out more. In 2012, we finally did our Gap-to-Gap hike, we took a trip to Block Island, and I rode massive numbers of miles on my bike. In 2013, I’m shooting for more. More lunch breaks outside. More family camping trips. More paddling. More days on snow. More weekend jaunts to random places. More dog walks. More outside time (less time watching SportsCenter). More pecking away at the giant list of things-we-want-to-do. P.S. Could someone help me find more than 52 weekends this year?

Buy smarter! This started as “buy fewer consumables”, but reality is that a) I have a toddler who grows out of clothes quickly, b) I work for a gear shop, c) I’m going to continue to buy things. So, my resolution is to buy smarter. Do more research. Buy local. Visit the library. Sleep on it. Build my own personal business case. And then, if I so choose, buy.

As for my 2012 resolutions, I think I did a pretty good job! Here’s to another successful year!
